Management

Alec Haralovich
General Manager
Alec Haralovich serves as General Manager of the Norwegian national team baseball program, a role he assumed in 2025. Originally from Juneau, Alaska, Alec brings nearly a decade of experience in Norwegian baseball to the position, having been active in the sport in Norway since 2016.
A founding member of Vålerenga Baseball, Alec has been instrumental in building the club from the ground up. His work with Vålerenga extends well beyond the national team level: he remains heavily involved in the club's Little League and youth development program, where he focuses on cultivating the next generation of Norwegian ballplayers. That grassroots commitment — developing players from their earliest days in the game — reflects his broader vision for growing the sport in Norway and, ultimately, strengthening the national team pipeline.
Though currently based temporarily in Geneva, Switzerland, Alec remains closely connected to the Norwegian baseball community and actively engaged with both club and national team operations. His Alaskan roots, long tenure with Vålerenga, and dedication to youth development give him a distinct perspective on the program — one that bridges the culture of the American game with the long-term, community-driven development model at the heart of Norwegian baseball.
As GM of the national team program, Alec is focused on building a sustainable competitive infrastructure: supporting coaches, players, and staff while continuing to invest in the youth pipeline that will define the program for years to come.

Bruce Nester
Head Coach
I'm originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania. I relocated to Sola Norway in 1993 after meeting my Norwegian wife on Narragansett Island off the coast of Rhode Island. We have three grown children, one grandson and another on the way. I was fortunate enough to carry the Little League flame onward after a few expats established a baseball program in the area. That was 19 years ago and I'm looking forward to another 25.
We here in the Stavanger area have been very fortunate to have a steady flow of kids from expat families from all over the world in the oil and gas sector and NATO, as well as a good base of both permanent Norwegian and non-Norwegian kids and teens. Sola Baseball Club has had several places our program has called home, but in 2014 we broke ground on our present field near the airport which we have appropriately named Runway Park. The first pitch of our first home game took place in the spring of 2016 and we are looking forward to many many more.

Mathis Fukuchi
Assistant Coach
My name is Mathis Fukuchi, I am 26 years old and I am a baseball player for the Trondheim Hellhounds in Norwegian Eliteserien. I grew up in France where my half Japanese father got me into baseball. I have played the sport for 12 years, became an umpire at the age of 16, and started coaching youth when I was 17.
I've been able to play national championships in France (Montpellier where I played D2 with players of the French Academy and trained with D1 players/coaches; and Clermont-Ferrand when I won the D2 French Championship in 2022) and Czech Republic before I moved to Norway to finish my engineering education at NTNU.
Baseball is a true passion for me, and I enjoy contributing to the growth of the sport both as a player and a volunteer, taking active roles in Trondheim Baseballklubb (TBK) board, and NTNUI Baseball. I currently animate both Youth and Adult practices within TBK activity as an assistant coach.
As a utility player, I gained knowledge in different aspects of the game, especially defense. I am also convinced that I can be useful with the mental approach of the game. Finally, my young age enables me to create better bonds with youth players.
I want the sport to grow as much as possible, and I believe in the development of the youth National programs where I want to help young players bring their level to the next stage and create lifelong memories.
